KOLAB

KOLAB was my agency: founded it, ran it as CEO, and sold it to AMASS. The roster was heavily beverage, which is where the pattern recognition behind everything I do now was built — the same problems arriving in different cans.

Challenge§ 01

What was actually broken.

Building an agency that consumer beverage brands would trust with positioning and launch work — then building it into something another company wanted to own.

  • / 01

Founder-led agencies compete against holding-company resources with none of the balance sheet.

  • / 02

Beverage clients need launch speed and category fluency, not a learning curve.

  • / 03

Building for an acquisition means the business has to work without the founder in every room.

What I did§ 02

The approach, step by step.

/ 01

Specialise where the work is

Leaned into beverage and consumer brands instead of taking every brief that walked in.

/ 02

Sell judgement, not hours

Positioned the agency around category fluency and launch capability — the things clients could not hire quickly.

/ 03

Build a business, then a book

Made the operation transferable enough that AMASS could acquire it and keep it running.

Outcome§ 03
